About Us

Our mission is to inspire women to embrace fashion as an expression of their intrinsic beauty. Through seminars, classes, and forums, we desire to impart a deeper understanding of the power of beauty allowing women to translate the theoretical into the practical and very personal expression of their dignity via the art of fashion.

Our vision is to create a community where women do not simply consume fashion, but through the choices they make to influence fashion, where fashion is an art form that elevates culture, where dressing well is a gift both for self and for others, where the true beauty of each woman is embodied. 

Fashion Matters Chicago was founded in 2013 after a group of professional women from Chicago attended a conference on beauty in New York City. Realizing that this was a field that affected so many women and yet so seldom discussed, Fashion Matters Chicago was born.
